Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security for your NexGen Plugins account. Once enabled, you'll be required to enter a verification code from an authenticator app along with your password whenever you sign in.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- A NexGen Plugins account
- A mobile device
- An authenticator app, such as:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
Step 1: Open Account Settings
- Log in to your NexGen Plugins account.
- Click your Profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
You will be taken to the Workspace → Settings page.
Step 2: Go to 2FA Authentication
- On the Settings page, locate the available tabs.
- Click 2FA Authentication.
This page displays:
- A QR Code
- A Secret Key
- The Enable 2FA Authentication button
Step 3: Add Your Account to an Authenticator App
- Open your preferred authenticator app.
- Tap the + (Add Account) button.
- Select Scan QR Code.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the NexGen Plugins page.
If you can't scan the QR code, use the displayed Secret Key and choose Enter Setup Key in your authenticator app.
Step 4: Enable 2FA
- After adding the account to your authenticator app, click Enable 2FA Authentication.
- If prompted, enter the current 6-digit verification code generated by your authenticator app.
- Save the changes.
Your Two-Factor Authentication is now enabled.
Signing In with 2FA
After enabling 2FA:
- Enter your username or email and password.
- Open your authenticator app.
- Enter the current 6-digit verification code.
- Complete the login process.
Troubleshooting
QR Code Won't Scan
- Increase your screen brightness.
- Zoom in on the QR code.
- Use the Secret Key for manual setup.
Verification Code Is Invalid
- Ensure your phone's Date & Time is set to Automatic.
- Wait for a new code if the current one has nearly expired.
- Confirm you're using the correct account in your authenticator app.
Lost Access to Your Authenticator App?
Contact the NexGen Plugins support team to request a 2FA reset. You may be asked to verify your account ownership before access is restored.

- Keep your authenticator app installed on a trusted device.
- Never share your Secret Key with anyone.
- Save any recovery information in a secure location.
- Enable 2FA immediately after creating your account for maximum protection.
